Ask me 1 year ago if I would be willing to travel to a third world country to build a concrete home for people I have never met... the answer would probably have been no thanks. Ask me today if I would go anywhere in the world to help someone build a home that does not have one... the answer would be "absolutely".
Recently my wife and I traveled with our church and 7 of our closest friends to Petite Goave, Haiti. There, we built two homes in connection with a local church. The people in the community were completely amazing and grateful that we were there to help. My wife and I brought dolls for the girls in the community. We gave each doll to a little girl that needed love and needed to know that someone cared for her. We wanted them to know that God loves them each and every day. We were also able to share the gospel with the local community during our trip. Needless to say, we all came back changed and ready to go again. So, if you asked me today - would you travel to help build a home for a family that did not have a home my answer... "Yes".
